Delhi High Court Grants John Doe Order To Zee To Combat Online Piracy

The Delhi High Court has granted ZEE Entertainment Enterprises a dynamic injunction to combat online piracy effectively.
Unlike the traditional John Doe order, which requires repeated court approvals, this will enable ZEEL to directly notify the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) whenever new content-infringing websites are discovered.
It will ensure swift blocking actions and enhance the speed and efficiency of piracy countermeasures. Additionally, it will benefit a broader content ecosystem, ensuring the longevity of high-quality digital entertainment for ZEE's diverse audience, underscoring its commitment to protecting digital assets.
