Shaswata Dutta, a seasoned professional in the legal space, is currently supporting Goldman Sachs Asset Management at their Mumbai office, as its Executive Director and Senior Counsel. As the primary investing area within Goldman Sachs, Goldman Sachs Asset Management delivers investment and advisory services for the world’s leading institutions, financial advisors and individuals — overseeing more than $2 trillion in assets under supervision worldwide as of December 31, 2021. He manages the legal and regulatory work on credit, growth equity, corporate equity and real estate business of Goldman Sachs Asset Management in India.

Before moving to Goldman Sachs, Shaswata was associated with JSA and Trilegal and has a strong track record in the financing space.

Shaswata was recognised by the Society of Indian Law Firms for his contribution as an In House Counsel for the award for Outstanding Excellence in the field of Corporate Law in 2021.

Shaswata graduated from WB National University of Juridical Sciences.
