Sharad Sharma is the Director & Head of Legal Affairs, South Asia for Tetra Pak - a Swedish MNC, and based in Gurgaon, India. He currently serves as chief legal advisor to Tetra Pak for its operations in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan. In his role, he partners with the business and functional teams to support growth, implement business plans, manage compliance-risk and litigation, and facilitate key strategic projects.

Moreover, Sharad also acts as the lead counsel for automation & digital solutions, export controls, sustainability, and supplier management for Tetra Pak Asia Pacific region. He also heads India-based attorneys’ team and a company secretary. Sharad joined Tetra Pak in October 2017. Prior to this assignment, he worked with Honeywell for nine years handling various roles with increasing responsibilities.

Before joining Honeywell, Sharad worked with Brightpoint India, a U.S. MNC, wherein he served as Legal and Commercial Head. Prior to that, he was with Samsung India Electronics as Legal Counsel and Company Secretary. He began his career with corporate-commercial law practice associated with Singhania & Partners LLP, a full-service national law firm.

Sharad holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the Delhi University and a bachelor’s degree in law from the Lucknow University. He is also a fellow member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

Through his career, Sharad has bagged many accolades recognising his work and dedication. At Tetra Pak: Outstanding Contribution Award (a Global Award) in Dec 19 from SrVP, Global Legal Affairs; Winner of South Asia -Leadership Excellence Award for 2018. At Honeywell: consecutively for 2012, 2015 and 2016 – High Growth Regions Excellence Awards from High Growth Regions CEO; and consecutively for 2010, 2011 & 2015: Bravo Gold and Silver Awards. Externally, he was also selected amongst Trailblazers – India’s Finest Inhouse Counsels by the Indian Corporate Counsel Association in 2017.
