Pravin H. Parekh previously held six terms elected President of Supreme Court Bar Association from 2004 till 2014, also Harvard Club of India (2012-2014) and Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association from 1994 till 2004. He also held the position of Managing Trustee of Consumer Education and Research Centre from 1981 till 2014. Mr. Parekh’s legal practice graph extends for 56 years starting from 1966 in Bombay High Court, Supreme Court of India since 1969 till date. He was also appointed as Arbitrator by ICC Paris and other National and International Organisations from 1985 onwards.

Most importantly, he has passed Advocate-on-Record Exam conducted by Supreme Court and Secured First Class First Position in 1971 and also designated as Senior Advocate by the Supreme Court in the year 2007.

Academically Mr. Parekh is B.A. (Hons.) LL.B., PIL (Harvard), headed “P.H. Parekh & Co.” which was one of the premier law firms in the Supreme Court of India from 1975-2006. His law reform activities include association with large number of international organisations worldwide including International Law Association and the International Bar Association, the American Bar Association and several other Indian organisations.

He is active in fighting for the rights of women and children and disadvantaged sections, arranging large number of seminars on these crucial issues. He works for consumer and rights and other subjects. He was Chairman of Consumer Education and Research Centre, Ahmedabad for three decades and thereafter been Trustee of Chairman of Consumer Education and Research Centre.

Moreover he has edited and authored a number of Books, articles and spoke extensively at various national and international forums in different parts of the world.

He has represented Presidents of India and Vice Presidents of India in the election petitions, Government of United States of America, number of present and past Union Cabinet Ministers, Chief Ministers, State Ministers, Ford Foundation, Election Commission of India, Bombay High Court, Patna High Court, Consumer Education Research Centre, Press Council of India, the Bombay Stock Exchange, Bombay Municipal Corporation, Kalyan Municipal Corporation, Nuclear Power Corporation City, Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corp Ltd and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra and other large industrial houses.

Mr. Parekh has also appeared for Reliance Industries Ltd., Somaiya Group of Industries, Kothari Industrial Corporation, Jaiprakash Industries, Hindustan Unilever Ltd., ELECON Engineering Co. Ltd. (Group of Companies) along with Hydro-Electric Power Plants, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, Gujarat Electricity Board, Gujarat Gas, Gas Authority of India, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.
