Niharika Karanjawala is a Principal Associate at Karanjawala & Co., a leading litigation firm in Delhi. An alumnus of Amity Law School, Delhi, she has been practicing criminal litigation for almost a decade, appearing in forums spanning the District Courts, High Courts and the Hon’ble Supreme Court and has a special interest in white-collar crime and violent crime.

Niharika Karanjawala has a keen interest in human rights and animal rights and has written articles about the same. She takes on pro bono criminal litigation and partakes in the public interest litigation initiatives spearheaded by the Firm, including the pursuit of marriage, equality rights for members of the LGBTQ+ community, a petition seeking a ban on the practice of female genital mutilation and a petition questioning the practice of ex-communication and social boycott in certain sections of the Dawoodi Bohra community.

Additionally, she is passionate about forensics and crime prevention and holds an expert certification in offender profiling and behavioural analysis.

We were falsely accused in the 2008 Aarushi-Hemraj murder case. Public perception was strongly against us, no one believed in us with the truth being lost.
