Prior to joining GE Global Research, John served as an attorney at Intel Corporation and was responsible for 16 countries in South East Asia.
John is General Counsel, South Asia, for GE Global Research from May 2020. He is also General Counsel, GE Global Research, Bengaluru, since July 2016. John leads the legal teams of all GE businesses in the South Asia region and ensures enterprise-wide consistency to GE’s legal strategy and approach. He is an advisor to the GE senior leadership in the region and drives GE’s thought leadership in the legal fraternity.
Prior to his assignment with GE, John was an Attorney at Intel Corporation and was responsible for 16 countries in South East Asia. Before that, he worked as an attorney at TE Connectivity, where he was responsible for Legal & Compliance for India, Middle East, and Africa. As Global Legal Compliance Manager at the California-based IMI Severe Service, he worked extensively in FCPA and other anti-corruption compliance.
Interestingly, John also was the founding principal of the School of Law, Christ University in Bengaluru, India.
He graduated in Law from Mysore University, India, and bagged a Master of Laws degree in the UK from London School of Economics and Political Science.

John is an avid collector and patron of arts and artists and actively engages with a community of local and regional artists through a team of internationally acclaimed curators. He also has keen interest in music and western classical music and is a member of the International Music & Arts Society, which has hosted many international artists visiting India.
