Ajay Bahl currently serves on various committees which include:i) Chairman, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Task Force on Judicial Reforms (2022 - 23, 2021 – 2022, 2020 – 2021 and 2018 – 2019); ii) Member of the Expert Committee for drafting legal framework for allowing Variable Capital Company (VCC) structure in the IFSCs set up by the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), Government of India (2022); iii) Member of the High Level Committee, constituted by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs to prepare the investigation manual for the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) (2020); iv) Member of the Company Law Committee, constituted by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India (2019)to review the offences under the Companies Act, 2013 and other aspects of the Companies and LLP Acts; and, v) Member of the CII Economic Growth and Investments Council (2012 – Present).
Ajay also served on various committees which include: i)Member of the Committee to simplify the provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961, constituted by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India (2015); andii) Member of the “Committee of Experts to examine the need for an Institutional framework for regulation and development of valuation professionals” constituted by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India in August 2019.
