Aishwarya Bhati


Aishwarya Bhati has the distinction of being the youngest woman lawyer & the only one from Rajasthan, to be conferred the designation of a Senior Advocate from Supreme Court of Indiain March 2019. She was Advocate-on-Record of the Supreme Court of India for 13 years prior to designation as a Senior Advocate. Being former Additional Advocate General for U.P. in Supreme Court from 2017 to 2020, she was the Counsel for the High Court of Delhi in Supreme Court. She was volunteer at Supreme Court Legal Services Committee (SCLSC), Supreme Court Middle Income Group Legal Aid Society (MIG) from the beginning of professional journey. She is also one of the youngest Additional Solicitor General of India, since June 2020 and the fourth woman in the country to occupy this coveted position.

Ms Bhati has passionately fought for rights for women children and people with disabilities, sustainable environmental laws and also been a crusader advocate for anti-tobacco litigation. She has led from the front, the rights of women officers of the Indian Air Force, Indian Army and Indian Navy for at-par consideration for permanent commission and command positions. She has been instrumental in leading the battle against the mighty tobacco industry on issues of larger pictorial warning, plain packaging and stronger tobacco regulation.

Elected twice as Secretary of Supreme Court Bar Association, in December 2013 and in December 2014, with a record margin Ms Bhati participates regularly in Television debates and deliberations and National Conferences on myriad legal issues of national importance relating to Administration of Justice and Women's Rights. She has been a member of the governing body of Deshbandhu College and RLA College, University of Delhi. She was adjudged as the Best Student Advocate of the Country in the All India Moot Court Competition organized by the Campus Law Center, Delhi University in 1998.

As the Best NCC Cadet from Rajasthan, she has commanded the Rajasthan NCC Contingent in the Republic Day Camp-1994, also was Right Marker of the Marching Contingent on Rajpath. Furthermore she was also awarded the Cherry Blossom Trophy for the best turned-out Cadet. She was selected for the coveted Indo-Canada Youth Exchange Program 1995 and represented India for the same in Canada.

Adjudged as the Best Student Parliamentarian of the National Youth Parliament in 1990-1991, Ms Bhati had the privilege of being chosen as the Head Girl and Best Student of the School in 1992. More so she is a solo Glider Pilot, exemplary shooter and horse rider, have participated in many adventure activities with NCC and an avid traveler. Ms Bhati pursued her LL.B. from Law Faculty, JNV University Jodhpur from 1995-1998 and has been a Gold Medalist.

She ascribes her achievements and standing to the indomitable values & spirit of her mother, who is her strongest inspiration. Her elder brother is her professional Guru and mentor. She strongly believes that success is not about how much money one makes but how much difference one makes in people’s lives.
