On behalf of its member companies, this was the first-ever anti-piracy campaign commenced by the Global Publishing Industry Association. The campaign helped in training the enforcement agencies on various aspects of copyright laws and enforcement in India. Abhai has initiated anti-counterfeiting campaigns for luxury goods brands and has also commenced raid actions across India. This he did against all the dominant importers, stockists and online sellers as well. The campaign has allowed the legal actions that were taken against the counterfeit sellers in the first-generation e-market in the early 2000s and opened a debate on the liabilities of the platform. To stop counterfeiting the products in North India, particularly in semi-urban and rural markets, Abhai carved strategies for a group of automobile component companies. He is diligently involved with a number of IP firms, including INTA, AIPPI, and APAA. Presently, Abhai is a member of INTA’s Enforcement Committee.
