SNG & Partners, has recently advised BanyanTree India Growth Capital Fund in its strategic investment in Power Exchange India Limited (PXIL), a pioneering institution in India's power exchange landscape.
The investment, spearheaded by BanyanTree India Growth Capital Fund, signifies a notable development in India's financial ecosystem. PXIL, recognized as India's premier institutionally promoted power exchange, has been instrumental in revolutionizing the nation's power markets with innovative and credible solutions.
PXIL is promoted by National Stock Exchange and National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX). The transaction involved secondary trade between BanyanTree and NCDEX, being the existing promoter of PXIL.
BanyanTree India Growth Capital Fund, known for its focus on mid-market companies in India, emphasizes development outcomes alongside its investment activities. With a strong commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), BanyanTree's investment in PXIL underscores its dedication to fostering sustainable growth.
SNG & Partners played a crucial role in orchestrating the intricate legal aspects of the transaction. From drafting to negotiating and finalizing key documents such as the share purchase agreement and shareholders agreement, the firm's expertise ensured a smooth and efficient process.
