Sourav Kanti De Biswas, Partner, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas (SAM), resigned from the firm and will now join Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) as Corporate Partner. He was from the Mergers & Acquisitions Group of SAM's General Corporate Practice and focused on M&A, JVs, FDI, Corporate Advisory and Compliance, and Commercial Contracting.
Sourav's practice area is M&A and General Corporate advisory. He has extensively advised on mergers, acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, restructuring, delisting, securities laws, foreign investment regime, commercial contracts, corporate compliance, employment law, and general corporate matters.
Prior to joining SAM, Sourav worked for 3 years with Reliance Communications Limited and Avaya GlobalConnect Limited (both of which were telecom and technology companies) in their in-house legal department). While working in-house, Sourav gained wide experience in reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, standardizing contract templates, advising on risk mitigation and compliance checklist, intellectual property, and litigation matters.
