The Bharti Airtel Limited deal is valued at US$ 2.83 billion
Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. has advised numerous companies in connection with the rights issue by Bharti Airtel Limited. The deal is valued at US$ 2.83 billion.
This is the fourth largest rights issue that was completed successfully and the largest rights issue transaction of 2021 in India.
The businesses counseled by the law firm include Axis Capital, J P Morgan, Citigroup Global Markets, Kotak Mahindra Capital, Goldman Sachs (India), ICICI Securities, BNP Paribas, BofA Securities, HDFC Bank and J M Financial.
The transaction team was led by Prashant Gupta (partner); Sayantan Dutta (partner); Trishita Dasgupta (senior associate); Maharghya Biswas (senior associate); Jayant Bhardwaj (associate); Debolina Mitra (associate); and Tanish Prabhakar (associate).
