Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas advised the Committee of Creditors in the CIRP of Uttam Galva Steels
Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas advised the Committee of Creditors (led by State Bank of India) in the corporate insolvency resolution process of Uttam Galva Steels Limited. AM Mining India Private Limited, an entity of the ArcelorMittal group was the Resolution Applicant. The deal involved an upfront payout of INR 3,700 crores to the financial and operational creditors and was closed on 10 November, 2022.
The deal team was led by Soummo Biswas, Partner; along with Parth Gokhale, Partner; Apeksha, Senior Associate; Charu Misra, Senior Associate and Sirhaan Seth, Associate.
The Corporate advisory team comprised of Yogesh Chande, Partner and Preeti Kapany, Senior Associate.
The Litigation team consisted of Misha, Partner; Meghna Rajadhyaksha, Partner; Siddhant Kant, Partner; Radhika Indapurkar, Principal Associate and Nikhil Mathur, Senior Associate.
