Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, the law firm with a pan-India presence, has advised Newgen Software Technologies Limited in its acquisition of 100 percent equity shareholding and control of the company Number Theory Software Private Limited.
Number Theory is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) company that has developed a powerful and intuitive data science platform for business analysts, data engineers, citizen data, and expert data scientists. This cloud-native modern platform offers an AI/ML modeling studio for enterprises looking to accelerate or scale their deployments.
With this acquisition, Newgen will further enhance its low code digital transformation platform with intuitive AI/ML capabilities unifying the entire data lifecycle, from data preparation to model deployment and monitoring.
The transaction team of Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas was led by Abhishek Dubey (partner), Rial Verma (senior associate) and Pallov Upadhyay (associate).
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) related matters were dealt by Yogesh Chande (partner) and Kanwardeep Kapany (principal associate).
