Saraf and Partners advised Fortis Healthcare in acquisition of Medeor’s hospital business
The deal was worth Rs.225 crores
Saraf and Partners has advised Fortis Healthcare Limited in the transaction documents for the acquisition of the hospital business of Medeor Hospital Limited, located in Manesar, Haryana.
The law firm acted on all aspects of the deal, including structuring, undertaking due diligence, drafting, negotiating, and finalizing the documentation.
Fortis is a leading integrated healthcare delivery service provider in India. The healthcare verticals of the company primarily comprise hospitals, diagnostics, and daycare specialty facilities. Currently, it operates 27 healthcare facilities (including JVs and O&M). Its network comprises about 4,300 operational beds and 400 diagnostics centers.
Medeor Hospital is a chain of multi-specialty hospitals strategically located in Delhi and NCR. Known for its excellence in healthcare services, it integrates a team of highly-specialized doctors, state-of-the-art technology, supreme healthcare practices, and compassionate patient care for an ideal healing environment for its patients.
The transaction team from Saraf and Partners was led by Vaibhav Kakkar and Sahil Arora (Partners). Others on the team included Debarpan Ghosh (Principal Associate), Aditya Sood and Kabir Walia (Associates).
They were supported by the litigation team led by Sanjeev Kumar Sharma (Partner), and assisted by Sanya Sud (Principal Associate).
