Paul Hastings Advised Kakao Corp. In Convertible Bonds Issuance
Paul Hastings LLP advised Kakao Corp. on its issuance of Convertible Bonds due in 2029 on April 29, 2024. This offering was executed under the provisions of Regulation S of the U.S. Securities Act of 1933, as amended, with the Bonds being listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited. UBS AG Hong Kong Branch played the role of Sole Manager and Bookrunner for the transaction.
Kakao Corp. is at the helm of Korea's mobile platform landscape with Kakao Talk, alongside other prominent online hubs like Daum and Melon. The funds raised through the Bonds issuance will fuel Kakao Corp.'s strategic endeavors, including acquisitions and investments in technology enterprises, while also catering to general corporate needs.
