Norton Rose Fulbright Advised China Water Affairs on RMB 1.5 Billion Investment by Taikang Asset
Norton Rose Fulbright advised China Water Affairs Group Limited on Taikang Asset’s RMB 1.5 billion (approximately US$207 million) equity investment in its subsidiary Silver Dragon Water Affairs.
China Water Affairs, listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, specializes in city water supply, pipeline direct drinking water, and environmental protection services in the PRC. Taikang Asset, a wholly owned subsidiary of Taikang Insurance Group, is a leading asset management firm in China. Taikang Insurance Group, a Fortune Global 500 company since 2018, operates across insurance, asset management, and healthcare services.
This investment brings China Water Affairs a strategic investor, marking a significant milestone in its growth and expansion strategy. The transaction is classified as a disposal and disclosable transaction under the Hong Kong Listing Rules.
The Norton Rose Fulbright team advising on this transaction was led by Psyche Tai (Head of Hong Kong), with support from Senior Associate Patrick Wong.
