Luthra and Luthra Law Offices India represented Kotak Strategic Situations India Fund II, managed by Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Limited, in its recent investment of INR 400 Crores in Biorad Medisys Private Limited, a prominent medical device manufacturer.
The investment signifies a strategic move towards bolstering India's domestic manufacturing capabilities in the medical devices sector, aligning with both market trends and governmental initiatives.
The substantial investment will primarily facilitate the establishment of a new manufacturing facility, the repayment of existing debts, and the augmentation of the company’s working capital. This move reflects the increasing emphasis on indigenous production within India's medical technology landscape.
