Luthra And Luthra Advised HDFC Bank On ₹4180 Million Financing For BluPine Energy's Solar Project
Luthra and Luthra Law Offices India acted for and advised HDFC Bank in connection with financial assistance amounting to INR 4180 Million for a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of BluPine Energy. This financing is intended to support Blupine Energy's 120 MW solar project in Sadla, Gujarat.
BluPine Energy, established by Actis, a prominent global investor specializing in sustainable infrastructure companies, is a leading renewable energy services provider on a global scale. Actis has invested USD 800 million from its Energy Fund 5 to empower BluPine Energy, dedicating its efforts to developing a cutting-edge renewable energy portfolio exceeding 4 GW exclusively in India.
The solar project, upon completion, is expected to offset around 2.96 lakhs tonnes of co2 equivalent annually and provide power to approximately 2.7 lakhs households annually.
The transaction was facilitated by a team led by Partner Girish Rawat, supported by Managing Associate Varun Chauhan, and Associates Radha Murali and Garima Upadhyay.
