Linklaters advised lenders on refinancing Rubis Group
The new loan enables full refinancing of the indebtedness and future investments of the firm
Rubis Terminal Infra (a joint venture between the global infrastructure investment manager I Squared Capital and the French-listed company Rubis), a leading European company specializing in the distribution of petroleum products and bulk liquid storage, has successfully refinanced its commercial debt, recently.
The new debt of c €810m allows the full refinancing of the indebtedness of Rubis (including the early redemption of its bonds), as well as the financing of the group's potential future investments.
Linklaters acted as legal adviser to the mandated lead arrangers, Banco Santander, Crédit Agricole CIB, and DNB Bank With Rubis spread across Europe, with affiliates in several jurisdictions, the cross-border transaction was led by Linklaters' Paris office and included Amsterdam and Madrid offices.
The Paris team comprised Darko Adamovic (partner), Alex Bluett (managing associate), Etienne Paletto (associate), Youssef Berrada (associate), and Zehra Ozge Sever (associate) on the structuring and financing aspects. The hedging features were dealt with by Vincent Poilleux (counsel) and Tristan Joguet-Sauvage (associate).
