Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan (L&S) advises India's largest passenger airline IndiGo for purchase from CFM International
IndiGo has entered into contract with CFM International for purchase of LEAP-1A engines. The engines will power IndiGo's fleet of 280 Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft. IndiGo has entered into contract with CFM International for purchase of LEAP-1A engines. The engines will power IndiGo's fleet of 280 Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft. L&S advised IndiGo on various aspects related to definitive agreements between IndiGo and CFM International. The L&S team worked under the overall supervision and guidance of Mr. V. Lakshmikumaran, Managing Partner and involved Mr. N. Mathivanan, Principal Partner, Mr. Sudish Sharma, Executive Partner (Corporate Advisory) and Mr. Kapil Sharma, Partner (Indirect Tax Advisory). Other team members included Mr. Tushar Agarwal, Joint Partner (Indirect Tax Advisory) and Mr. Anantha Desikan, Senior Associate (Corporate Advisory).
In relation to the above, the L&S team worked closely with IndiGo's inhouse teams including legal, finance and aircraft acquisition and finance teams.
