Khaitan & Co Advised Plus500 Ltd On 100% Acquisition Of Mehta Equities Limited
Khaitan & Co advised Plus500 Ltd in relation to acquisition of 100% shares of Mehta Equities Limited (subject to the receipt of certain regulatory approvals and other closing conditions) for approximately USD 20 million.
This transaction enables Plus500 to expand its geographic footprint into India’s rapidly growing financial industry, including futures trading. India, the largest retail trading market globally, recorded over 150 billion contracts traded in 2024, representing over 75% of the global transaction volume. Khaitan & Co provided strategic legal guidance to navigate the regulatory complexities of the deal.
