Khaitan & Co Advised Novo Holdings On Stake Acquisition In AgNext Technologies
Khaitan & Co advised Novo Holdings on the acquisition of a minority stake in AgNext Technologies Private Limited as part of the Series B investment round.
AgNext Technologies Private Limited is an innovative company in the agricultural and food technology sector, focusing on enhancing trust throughout food supply chains with its artificial intelligence-based food quality assessment technologies.
This funding round will enable AgNext Technologies to enhance its food quality assessment technologies and expand its team to scale product sales globally, including into new food segments.
Additionally, this investment represents Novo Holdings' first foray into the planetary health sector in Asia. It aligns with their strategic goal to invest in initiatives that promote planetary health, addressing challenges like feeding a growing global population, combating climate change, and fostering sustainable urban development.
The Khaitan & Co core deal team for this transaction included Partner Kartick Maheshwari, Partner Aashutosh Sampat, Partner Nayantara Kutty, Principal Associates Gunsaheb Singh and Reshma Abraham, Senior Associate Vismita Gahlot, and Associate Yashvi Shah.
