Khaitan & Co Advised Lightspeed Venture Partners On Investment In Kiranakart Pte. Ltd.
Khaitan & Co advised Lightspeed Venture Partners on Indian Law aspects related to their co-investment in Kiranakart Pte. Ltd., the parent company of Zepto, amounting to approximately USD 665 million.
The funding round included participation from new investors such as Avenir, and Avra, alongside existing investors Glade Brook, Nexus, StepStone, Goodwater, and Lachy Groom.
Approximately 40% of the total funds came from these new investors, indicating strong investor confidence in Zepto's business model and growth potential.
The core transaction team at Khaitan & Co was led by Partners Nidhi Killawala and Srikant C.V. It also included Principal Associate Ayushi Mishra and Associate Ishaan Chopra.
They received support from Associate Aiyushi Sahani on diligence-related aspects and from Partner Pranjal Prateek and Senior Associate Nilav Banerjee on competition law matters. The team ensured comprehensive legal support throughout the investment process.
