Khaitan & Co advised Harley Davidson Motor Company, Inc. ("Harley Davidson") in relation to entering into a collaboration with Hero MotoCorp Limited ("Hero") for joint development by the parties and manufacturing in India by Hero of a new Harley Davidson branded motorcycle; and variant of the existing Harley Davidson X440 motorcycle, for sale in India and international markets.
The core team at Khaitan & Co consisted of Partners Prasenjit Chakravarti, Nitish Goel and Principal Associate Sanjana Bhatnagar.
The role of the Firm comprised assisting in drafting, reviewing and negotiating the transaction documents and ancillary documentation to be entered into between the parties along in respect of the collaboration.
