J Sagar Associates and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised on Mindtree and L&T Infotech merger

The amalgamation has created an $18 billion company

Law firms J Sagar Associates (JSA) and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) have advised on the merger of Mindtree Limited and L&T Infotech, the software units of the Indian conglomerate Larsen & Toubro.

The merger is aimed at building a scale to compete for larger deals in a booming market for Information Technology. In fact, L&T's push in the high-growth software industry follows a pandemic-led surge in demand for digitalization. Global businesses have been investing billions of dollars in cloud computing, digital payment infrastructure, and cyber security.

While JSA represented Mindtree, CAM counseled Infotech.
