Hindustan Media Ventures investment in OYO backed by S&R Associates
OYO which has investors like SoftBank Vision Fund, Sequoia Capital, Lightspeed Ventures, Airbnb and Hero Enterprise has now raised fresh funding of Rs. 54 crore from Hindustan Media Ventures.
OYO is run by Oravel Stays Pvt. Ltd. and operates on an asset-light chain of hotels and vacation homes and has over 43,000 hotels and 1.5 lakh homes around the world in its network. The company operates in over 800 cities in 80 countries, including the US, Europe, UK, India, Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Japan.
HT Media Ltd. owns 74.4% stake in Hindustan Media Ventures.
S&R Associates represented Hindustan Media Ventures Limited in its Rs. 540 million investment in Oravel Stays, the operator of OYO Hotels & Homes.
