Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Advised Warburg Pincus LLC On ₹4,630 Cr Acquisition Of Shriram Housing Finance Ltd.
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) advised Warburg Pincus LLC in its 100% acquisition of Shriram Housing Finance Limited (SHFL). Warburg Pincus has finalized a definitive agreement to purchase approximately 100% of Shriram Housing Finance for INR 4630 crores. The selling shareholders include Shriram Finance Limited, Valiant (a private equity investor), and certain individual shareholders.
This signifies Warburg's most substantial investment in India, focusing on SHFL, one of the nation's leading affordable housing finance firms. SHFL is registered with the National Housing Bank (NHB) and offers retail loans. CAM played a pivotal role as legal advisors to Warburg, conducting thorough legal due diligence and supervising the drafting, negotiation, review, and finalization of the share purchase agreement and other pertinent transaction documents.
