Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Advised Selling Shareholders On 46.85% Stake Sale In Prataap Snacks
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised selling shareholders, including Peak XV Partners Growth Investment Holdings I and Peak XV Partners Growth Investments II in relation to the proposed sale of 46.85% stake in Prataap Snacks Limited to Authum Investment & Infrastructure Limited and Ms. Mahi Madhusudan Kela.
Authum Investment and Mahi Madhusudan Kela have acquired the controlling stake in Prataap Snacks for ₹846.60 crores, which triggers an open offer at a price of ₹864 per share.
AIIL is purchasing the stake from a group of private equity players, including Peak XV Partners Growth Investment Holdings I, Peak XV Partners Growth Investment II, and Sequoia Capital GFIV Mauritius Investments. Following the deal, the sellers will no longer be part of the promoter entity in the company.
AIIL move aligns with its strategy of diversifying its portfolio.
The transaction was conducted under the overall guidance of Managing Partner Cyril Shroff. The transaction team was led by Partner Ramgovind Kuruppath, with support from Principal Associate Megha Krishnamurthi, Senior Associate Nikita Singhi, and Associate Bharat Harne.
