Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Advised SBL Energy In Facilitating Primary Investment
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) has advised SBL Energy Limited (SBL Energy) in facilitating a primary investment in SBL Energy by investors, marking a significant development in the company's growth trajectory. SBL Energy, the second-largest industrial explosives company in India, has secured growth capital through the issuance of securities to three investors: Synergy Capital (DIFC) Fund I General Partner LTD, India SME Investments - Fund I, and Mr. Mukul Agrawal.
The transaction, overseen by Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, marks a significant milestone for SBL Energy as it secures funding to fuel its expansion plans. With operations spanning nearly three decades, SBL Energy commands approximately 10 percent market share in India's industrial explosives sector. The company serves the mining and infrastructure industries and is venturing into the defense sector. Additionally, it exports its products and services to over 20 countries, showcasing its global reach and competitiveness.
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas' General Corporate team provided strategic counsel to SBL Energy and its promoters throughout the transaction process. Led by Siddharth Hariani, Partner, the team, including Vaishnavi Eshwar, Senior Associate, and Piyush Langade, Associate, played a crucial role in structuring, negotiation, and drafting key agreements.
In addition to legal counsel, BDO India LLP acted as the financial advisor for the transaction, further contributing to the successful completion of the investment deal.
