Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Advised Godrej Properties
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (“CAM”) advised Godrej Properties Limited (“GPL”), on the issuance of equity share capital aggregating up to INR 6,000 crores by way of a qualified institutions placement (“Issue”). The Issue was undertaken by GPL in compliance with Chapter VI of the SEBI (Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2018, and Section 42 of the Companies Act, 2013.
The Issue was launched on November 27, 2024, and closed on December 2, 2024. The Issue was subscribed nearly four times. The allotment was completed on December 2, 2024.
GPL is the leading residential real estate development company in India in terms of booking value for the financial year 2024, with a focus on developing residential projects.
The transaction team at CAM comprised Yash Ashar, Senior Partner; and Devaki Mankad, Partner & Regional Co-Head - Capital Markets - West; with support from Rishav Buxi, Senior Associate; Urmil Shah, Associate; Hitesh Nagpal, Associate; and Gaurav Lalwani, Associate.
Other parties to the transaction included Kotak Mahindra Capital Company Limited, BofA Securities India Limited, Jefferies India Private Limited, and Morgan Stanley India Company Private Limited, who acted as Book Running Lead Managers to the Issue.
