Swati Sharma has been hired by Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas as a Partner and Head of its Intellectual Property (IP) Practice. Along with a team of highly experienced and qualified IP attorneys and engineers, she will be based in the firm’s Delhi-NCR office.
Sharma has over 20 years of experience in the IP field. Her, and the team’s expertise, ranges from IP transactional & commercial, strategy, disputes, and prosecution.
The firm will now be well-equipped to provide a complete IP experience in domains such as trademarks, patents, copyrights, designs, trade secrets, and emerging technology in transactional, disputes, and prosecution.
Welcoming her on board, Cyril Shroff, the Managing Partner at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas commented, “I am excited to welcome Sharma to the firm. With her experience, talent, and commitment, we aim to revamp and establish a leading IP transactional, advisory, strategy, disputes, and prosecution specialist globally.”
On her appointment, Sharma remarked, “I am delighted to join CAM to build and scale its IP practice to new heights. Mr. Shroff and my vision is to collaborate seamlessly with our corporate and commercial practice areas, synergizing our expertise across these domains to help our clients unlock, protect, and deliver value through their IP assets.”
A 2007 graduate of the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (a topper with distinction), Sharma has over the years been involved in prestigious re-branding, brand adoption, strategy, tie-ups, mergers and acquisitions, disputes, business setup, and commercial transactions involving IP for Fortune 100 clients.
To her goes the credit for getting well-known declarations before the Trademarks Office in India for marks such as TCS, The Tata T Logo, and Flipkart.
