Baker McKenzie advised People Can Fly in its acquisition of Canada-based Game On Creative, Inc.
Leading global law firm Baker McKenzie advised Warsaw-based People Can Fly in the legal aspects of the acquisition of 100 per cent shares in Canada-based Game On Creative, Inc.
The transaction provides for a share swap with PCF shares and the reinvestment of Game On's founder in PCF.
People Can Fly is a listed public company on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The company is in the business of developing blockbuster video games (AAA segment). It premiered its latest title, Outriders, premiered on 1 April 2021. The fundament of PCF's renown was built by games like Painkiller and Bulletstorm.
The Baker McKenzie team was led by Prof. Pawel Wajda, of counsel, and Radzym Wójcik, senior associate, from its Warsaw office and by Nancy Hamzo and Evgeniya Shagarina from the Baker McKenzie's Toronto office.
Game On specializes in animation production. It has its motion capture studio enabling simultaneous recording of character animation, facial animation and sound and audio recording for major game companies. Game On is also a long-term production partner of People Can Fly studio, involved in the production of cinematics for Outriders.
