Accenture LLP has acquired the Symantec Cyber Security Services business from Broadcom Inc for approximately USD 200 Million.
Accenture is a leading global professional services company, providing a broad range of services in strategy and consulting, interactive, technology and operations, with digital capabilities across all of these services.
Broadcom Inc., a Delaware corporation headquartered in San Jose, California, is a global technology leader that designs, develops and supplies a broad range of semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions.
Broadcom bought Symantec's enterprise security business in 2019 and has now sold a portion of it — Symantec's Cyber Security Services unit. Symantec's Cyber Security Services business portfolio includes global threat monitoring and analysis via a network of security operation centres, threat intelligence, and incident response services
According to a Press Release by Accenture, "The acquisition enhances Accenture Security's position as one of the world's leading providers of managed security services, further boosting its ability to help organizations anticipate, detect and respond to cyber threats."
