DSK Legal Promotes Sajit Suvarna as its Deputy Managing Partner

DSK Legal has announced that Mr. Sajit Suvarna has been promoted to Deputy Managing Partner at DSK Legal.

Sajit has been with DSK Legal since it was established in April 2001, and has built an excellent practice and reputation in the area of real estate, including conveyancing, structuring transactions, real estate financing and FDI in real estate.

Commenting on the promotion, Mr. Anand Desai, Managing Partner said, "I am delighted to announce Sajit's promotion. He has consistently demonstrated leadership qualities, and built an excellent practice in his chosen field."

Sajit heads the Real Estate practice at DSK Legal. Sajit has been assisting governmental agencies in various Smart City initiatives, which is as a part of the Smart City Mission initiated by the Honourable Prime Minister. He also assisted the Ministry for Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra in the acquisition of a house in London where Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar (architect of the Indian Constitution) lived, which has now been converted into a memorial.

On his promotion, Mr. Sajit Suvarna commented, "It has been an extremely fulfilling journey, starting as an associate and now being promoted as the Deputy Managing Partner of the firm. This emphasizes what every young lawyer in a professional firm can aspire to achieve. It is also a huge responsibility that the firm has put on me, and I hope to be able to discharge the same and assist the firm achieve greater heights."

Sajit is a registered Solicitor with the Supreme Court of England & Wales and the Bombay Incorporated Law of Society. He is registered with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa and holds bachelors' degrees in commerce and law.

He is a regular speaker at seminars on legal developments and current issues in real estate and construction law including the recently enacted the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016.
