The Appointments Committee of the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions has approved the nomination of Justice Hemant Gupta as the chairman of the New Delhi International Arbitration Centre (NDIAC).
NDIAC was established to create an independent and autonomous regime for institutionalised arbitration.
While Justice Gupta was previously a judge in the Supreme Court, the appointment of Ganesh Chandru and Anant Vijay Palli has been done as NDIAC's part-time members.
