Tay & Partners Boosts IP Capabilities with New Partner from Christopher & Lee Ong

Tay & Partners, a Malaysian law firm, has bolstered its intellectual property practice by employing an IP specialist in Kuala Lumpur.

Kim Poh Ng has joined the firm as a partner from Rajah & Tann’s local member firm Christopher & Lee Ong.

With over 20 years of experience in Intellectual Property (IP) matters, Ng has advised numerous clients on both contentious and non-contentious issues related to trademarks, patents, industrial designs, copyright, breach of confidential information, domain name disputes, and franchising. He has represented clients in IP cases before the Court of Appeal and the Federal Court of Malaysia.

After joining Christopher & Lee Ong in 2016 as a partner, Ng spent approximately seven years with the firm. Prior to that, he worked for other law firms, including Shook Lin & Bok. With Ng's arrival, Tay now has eight partners in its Kuala Lumpur office.
