Stella Cramer to join Clifford Chance as Asia Pacific technology partner

One of the most prestigious law firms, Clifford Chance has announced hiring market-leading technology specialist Stella Cramer as a partner in Singapore. She will lead its technology group in Asia Pacific.

Cramer has over 15 years of experience in Asia Pacific's complex digital and transformational technology projects, platform collaborations, and technology transactions, often involving disruptive technologies including blockchain and artificial intelligence.

On her joining, Connie Heng, the regional managing partner for Asia Pacific at Clifford Chance commented, "We are delighted to welcome Cramer to lead our multi-disciplinary tech group in APAC, which delivers expert and holistic legal advice to both tech and non-tech clients on their most complex tech-related matters. Meanwhile, commenting on the opportunities in Singapore, Valerie Kong, the country's managing partner at the firm, added, "With Singapore's efforts in driving digital innovation across industries, as announced in the 2023 Budget, we will continue to see market-first matters led out the region, as we have recently witnessed with Project Guardian and Partior.

She guides clients on global data compliance programs, the commercialization of data, and high-profile cyber incidents. Cramer has advised on significant fintech projects and was involved in the set-up of industry sandboxes. She also serves on specialist advisory committees covering the regulation of data, blockchain, and artificial intelligence in Singapore and regionally.

Earlier, she held in-house roles at two global banks focussing on technology, data, and digitalization projects across multiple jurisdictions. Of late, she was working with Norton Rose Fulbright.
