Natalie Curtis Joins Walkers in Hong Kong, Bringing Financial Regulation Expertise
Natalie Curtis, formerly head of Herbert Smith Freehills’ financial services regulatory practice in Singapore, has joined Walkers’ Hong Kong office as a Partner.
Curtis brings over twenty years of expertise in financial services regulations and fintech across Southeast Asia. Her advisory portfolio spans contentious and non-contentious regulatory and compliance issues, including anti-money laundering, combatting the financing of terrorism regulations, financial services licensing, cybersecurity, and more.
Her client base includes virtual asset-trading platforms and technology firms, seeking counsel on initiatives such as establishing virtual banks, non-fungible token offerings, and compliance frameworks for virtual asset-service providers.
Prior to her move to Walkers, Curtis spent 17 years at Herbert Smith Freehills, working across its Sydney, Hong Kong, and Singapore offices. She holds qualifications in Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand.
