DivinaLaw strengthens Manila office with two senior energy lawyers

DivinaLaw has announced the appointment of energy lawyers Layug and Pilares from Puno and Puno Law Offices (PunoLaw) in Manila as senior partners through lateral hires.

In 2013, Layug joined PunoLaw where he was a senior partner and also held the position of chairman of the National Renewable Energy Board in the Philippines from 2016-2018. Additionally, he has been serving as the dean of the University of Makati School of Law since 2018.

Pilares, who is also a professor at the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law and the University of Makati School of Law, worked as a partner at PunoLaw for nearly 15 years. In 2016, she was appointed assistant secretary of the Department of Energy.
