Clifford Chance Announces Ness Cohen as the New Managing Partner for New York Office
Clifford Chance, a renowned international law firm, has recently appointed Ness Cohen as the new Managing Partner of its New York office, effective from June 15.
Cohen’s appointment is expected to further strengthen the firm’s leadership team and enhance its operations in the vibrant legal market of New York.
Having joined Clifford Chance in 1998, Cohen has established a long-standing career with the firm, culminating in his promotion to partner in 2007. With his extensive experience, Cohen currently serves as the Regional Practice Area Leader of the Americas Real Estate practice and holds the position of Chair in the Americas Personnel Committee.
His practice is centred around real estate private equity and joint ventures, encompassing a broad range of transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, and financings within the real estate sector.
Regional Managing Partner for the Americas, Sharis Pozen, expressed delight in announcing the appointment of Ness Cohen as the New York Office Managing Partner.
“He (Cohen) is an exceptional partner and a strong role model in the New York Office, with invaluable experience leading our Real Estate practice, which is part of our extraordinary global Real Estate team. With a deep knowledge of the firm, Ness takes on this position at an exciting time of growth for us and will certainly add real value as he works closely with our leadership team on the strategy and management of the region,” Pozen said.
Cohen said he was honoured upon being appointed as the New York Office Managing Partner of the firm.

After seven years as Chairman of our Real Estate practice, I have a broad knowledge of our capabilities and deep experience collaborating across practices and offices to deliver on our client’s goals. I look forward to bringing my experience,” Cohen stated.
