Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow Strengthens M&A Practice With Team From Morrison Foerster

Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow, the Singapore member firm of Baker McKenzie, has significantly enhanced its M&A practice by adding a team from Morrison Foerster. This new team is led by Shirin Tang, the former managing Partner of Morrison Foerster’s Singapore office, and Ang Lip Kian.

Shirin Tang, who brings over 20 years of experience in cross-border mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions, will co-head Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow's M&A practice in Singapore alongside Boo Bee Chun. Tang’s expertise covers institutional real estate, technology, life sciences, and consumer sectors, with recent transactions totaling over $35 billion. Her previous roles include serving as a member of Morrison Foerster’s global executive committee and counsel at Shearman & Sterling in both New York and Singapore.

Ang Lip Kian, who joins from Morrison Foerster after more than 12 years in Shanghai and Singapore, represents international funds, multinational corporations, and financial institutions. His practice focuses on cross-border private equity, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and fund transactions, covering sectors such as real estate, fintech, life sciences, technology, and consumer goods.
