Tess Lumsdaine has joined Baker McKenzie from Herbert Smith Freehills as a partner
International law firm Baker McKenzie has announced that Tess Lumsdaine, an employment law expert, has joined its Hong Kong office as a partner.
Lumsdaine, who advises on employment-related disputes, compensation, mobility issues, and workplace investigations has moved to Baker McKenzie from Herbert Smith Freehills where she worked as a counsel.
Lumsdaine also advises companies in tech, banking and financial services, consumer goods and retail, and pharmaceutical sectors across the Asia Pacific.
She was associated with Herbert Smith Freehills for over 12 years across its Sydney, Singapore, and Hong Kong offices.
Lumsdaine started her career at the Australian law firm Brown Wright Stein.
Baker McKenzie's lawyer count has gone up to 181 in Hong Kong, including more than 50 partners, following Lumsdaine's hiring.
