The global law firm Baker McKenzie announced on 2nd October that Colleen Baime has become a part of the firm's North America Litigation and Government Enforcement Practice in Chicago. Colleen Baime, licensed in both Illinois and California, has joined the ranks of Baker McKenzie's well-versed dispute lawyers, who manage high-stakes commercial disputes for multinational corporations.
Baime specialises in intricate litigation matters, where she defends clients against a wide range of legal liabilities. This includes contract disputes, product liability claims, civil conspiracy cases, fraud allegations, misrepresentation claims, securities litigation, environmental disputes, and general commercial litigation.
With extensive experience as a trial lawyer, Baime has personally presided over more than a dozen cases that have reached a verdict. Furthermore, she has assumed the role of supervising trial counsel, responsible for formulating, directing, and approving litigation strategies and the presentation of evidence in over 30 trials. She has also prepared legal briefs and presented arguments in multiple cases before the Illinois appellate courts and has drafted appeal briefs for cases before the California courts of appeal. Additionally, Baime provides her clients with guidance in terms of litigation avoidance, risk management, and strategies for resolution.
