Adnan Sundra & Low Expands Intellectual Property Capabilities With Strategic Team Expansion
Adnan Sundra & Low (ASL), a prominent Malaysian law firm, has enhanced its Intellectual Property capabilities by bringing on board a five-member team specializing in IP, sports, and gaming from local competitor Christopher & Lee Ong (CLO). This team is led by Sri Sarguna Raj, a seasoned expert in the field.
Joining ASL along with Raj are Partners Steven Cheok Hou Cher and Nicole Chong, Senior Associate An Qi Soo, and Junior Associate Lim Chaw Zen.
Sri Sarguna Raj brings over twenty years of experience in sports and Intellectual Property Law in Malaysia. His career includes stints at renowned firms such as Shearn Delamore & Co, Wong & Partners, and Skrine. Raj was also the managing partner and co-founder of the boutique IP law firm Kandiah & Sri, which merged with CLO in 2015.
Raj’s IP practice is comprehensive, covering both contentious and non-contentious areas. He represents clients in disputes involving patents, copyrights, privacy and trade secrets, trademarks, industrial designs, advertising, and domain names. On the non-litigation side, he provides expertise in drafting and advising on IP matters within corporate and commercial transactions, including licensing, franchising, regulatory advice, entertainment, sponsorship, and merchandising.
In a statement, ASL expressed enthusiasm about the addition: “The inclusion of Sri, his team, and this new area of practice into the firm demonstrates more than just the expansion of our firm's services. It is a strategic step to ensure our leadership in the dynamic legal landscape of Malaysia, reflecting our commitment to innovation, excellence, and delivering comprehensive, broad-ranging legal solutions to our clients.”
