Latham & Watkins has represented French industrial conglomerate Séché Environnement in its S$605 million (approximately $445 million) acquisition of ECO Industrial Environmental Engineering from Beijing Capital Eco-Environment Protection Group.
ECO Industrial Environmental Engineering holds a leading position in Singapore’s hazardous waste recovery and treatment sector, commanding a market share of around 32%.
Earlier reports from Reuters indicated that the sale had garnered interest from multiple potential buyers, including global infrastructure investors Actis and I Squared Capital.
The advisory team from Latham & Watkins was led by Singapore Partner Farhana Sharmeen and Paris Partner Alexander Crosthwaite.
