DLA Piper advised Chifeng Jilong Gold Mining Co., Ltd. (6693.HK) on its initial public offering (IPO) and H-share listing on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) on March 10, 2025.
As one of China’s largest private gold producers, Chifeng Gold is recognized as a leading and rapidly growing player in the PRC’s mining sector. Through this landmark listing, Chifeng Gold successfully raised approximately HKD 2.8 billion, with proceeds potentially reaching HKD 3.2 billion if the over-allotment option is fully exercised. This IPO also marks a dual A+H listing on both the Shanghai Stock Exchange and HKEX.
The transaction represents the largest Hong Kong IPO for a mineral company under Chapter 18 of the Hong Kong Listing Rules since 2023. CITIC Securities (Hong Kong) Limited acted as the sole sponsor for the IPO.
