Cooley advised the Grousbeck family and the Boston Celtics – majority stakeholders of Boston Basketball Partners that owns the American professional basketball team – with respect to their agreement to sell the Celtics to a William Chisholm-led investor group. If approved, a majority of the team will be bought by the new ownership group in summer this year at an initial valuation of $6.1 billion.
