Supreme Court Collegium proposes elevation of 5 as judges of Karnataka High Court

Presently, it has 17 vacancies

In a recent decision, the Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the elevation of five judicial officers as judges of the Karnataka High Court.

Currently, the court is functioning at a strength of 45 as opposed to the sanctioned strength of 62.

The judicial officers recommended are Anil Bheemsen Katti, Gurusiddaiah Basavaraja, Chandrashekhar Mrutyunjaya Joshi, Umesh Manjunathbhat Adiga, and Talkad Girigowda Shivashankare Gowda.
