The President of India Ram Nath Kovind has appointed Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra as the acting Chief Justice of Uttarakhand High Court.
The notification issued read, "In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 223 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Justice Sanjaya Kumar Mishra, the senior-most judge of the Uttarakhand High Court, to perform the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court."
Justice Mishra would be performing the duties consequent to the retirement of Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan, Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court.
